Greater Washington

LPF was founded in 2013 out of Silver Spring, MD to serve students living in and around Washington, DC. LPF Founder, Max Levitt, grew up in suburban Washington, DC and knew first-hand how much equipment went to waste throughout his community. At the same time, he would spend countless hours volunteering in some of the DC area’s most vulnerable communities where he saw kids unable to afford the equipment needed to participate in athletics. As a result, he founded LPF to funnel used equipment to the students who really needed it. Since its founding, thousands of families in the DC area have contributed equipment to our cause and spent numerous hours volunteering in our warehouse. Since our founding we have been able to provide equipment to over 700 programs working with students in and around Washington DC.

Football season is just around the corner and that Football season is just around the corner and that means LPF Football Days are in full swing!

ICYMI: This week LPF Baltimore welcomed local coaches from 14 different programs to pick up equipment to get their teams ready for their seasons.

Thank you again to the @goldenarmaward foundation and the @ravens and @riddellsports who have all supported LPF in enabling kids to compete and feel confident this season with the gear they need.

Good luck to all our football teams in the upcoming season!🏅
Football Day in Baltimore was an incredible succes Football Day in Baltimore was an incredible success! In one day, we distributed just under $50K worth of equipment to 14 schools in the Baltimore area.

MVPs:
→ @goldenarmaward GoldenArmAward Foundation sponsored this year’s event for the 2nd year in a row

→ @ravens and @riddellsports generously donated football equipment so that local athletes will be ready to hit the field this preseason🏈

Thanks to our MVPs, we distributed cleats, shoulder pads, mouth guards, socks, chinstraps, and more. In addition, Baltimore has officially introduced flag football as a high school sport for girls, so we were able to distribute flags and gloves for female athletes as well.

Let’s continue leveling the playing field for all of the athletes in our communities🏆
